Civil Aviation Resources Network reported on October 24, 2025: Starting at midnight on October 26, 2025, Air China will implement its 2025/26 winter-spring flight schedule. After the seasonal change, Air China plans to operate 452 routes, including 114 international routes, 13 regional routes, and 325 domestic routes, serving 46 countries and regions and covering 195 cities. The average daily number of flights will be approximately 1,725, an increase of approximately 8% in capacity compared to January-September 2025 and approximately 16% compared to the 2024/25 winter-spring period. The average daily number of international and regional flights is planned to be 250, an increase of approximately 5% in capacity compared to January-September 2025 and approximately 13% compared to the 2024/25 winter-spring period.
Optimizing Capacity to Meet Passenger Demand
On domestic routes, plans are underway to add four new routes: Beijing-Panzhihua, Beijing-Xishuangbanna, Hangzhou-Zhuhai, and Urumqi-Kashgar. Flight frequency will also increase month-over-month from Beijing to Huizhou, Zhanjiang, Altay, and Changsha, and from Chengdu to Beihai, Sanya, Shenyang, and Mangshi, totaling over 40 routes. This represents a year-on-year increase of approximately 15% compared to the 2024/25 winter/spring season.
On international (regional) routes, plans are underway to add 17 new routes: Beijing-Seoul, Irkutsk, Vladivostok, and Ho Chi Minh City. A new Hangzhou-Hanoi route will be added, with a year-on-year increase of approximately 17% compared to the 2024/25 winter/spring season.
Air China will continue to promote the large-scale, high-quality commercial operation of domestically produced aircraft. The C919 aircraft will add new destinations, including Guangzhou, Xi'an, and Changsha, in the new season.
Improving Route Network and Strengthening Hub Development
Air China will continue to deepen hub development in Beijing and Chengdu. It will rationally arrange Beijing's "one city, two airports, one airport, two districts" flight schedule and actively promote schedule optimization and route adjustments at Beijing Capital Airport. In the new season, Air China plans to operate 139 routes at Beijing Capital Airport's Terminal 3, with an average of over 672 flights per day; and 29 routes at Terminal 2, with an average of 85 flights per day. The company will enhance the passenger experience by optimizing flight schedules and adjusting aircraft connections. At Beijing Daxing Airport, it plans to operate an average of 106 flights per day, connecting 49 cities, with further optimized flight schedules and frequencies.
Air China will improve the route network at Chengdu's Shuangliu and Tianfu airports, increasing domestic and international flight frequencies. Shuangliu Airport has 34 domestic routes, with an average of 206 flights per day; Tianfu Airport has 87 routes, with an average of over 247 flights per day.
