On January 23, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines announced that, due to the geopolitical situation, it would suspend flights to several Middle Eastern countries effective immediately. The suspension affects routes to Iraq, Iran, Israel, and several Gulf countries until further notice.
KLM also stated that it would repatriate its staff in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai, UAE, on January 24.
Furthermore, Air France also cancelled its scheduled flights to Israel on January 23 and 24.
The Lufthansa Group had previously decided to operate its Tel Aviv flights only during the daytime starting January 15, a decision that has been extended to January 31, 2026. This measure aims to allow crew members to return to their respective bases without spending an overnight stay in Israel.
