According to the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, "Vietnam Economy" reported on September 19 that data from the Vietnam Aviation Administration showed that in the first half of 2022, Vietnam Airlines' passenger traffic was 23.3 million, an increase of 74.2% over the same period of the previous year, equivalent to 60% of passenger traffic in the same period in 2019. Among them, the passenger volume of domestic routes was 20.8 million, a year-on-year increase of 58.4%. Currently, Vietnam has more than 6.5 million seats on domestic and international flights, ranking second in Southeast Asia after Indonesia. It is estimated that by 2030, the number of airports in Vietnam will reach 28, including 14 international airports and 14 domestic airports, which can meet the travel needs of about 283 million passengers.
