All products are adopting cutting edge technology LED sources, to make long life expectancy, as long as 10 years long. There are 3 types of power supply available for the helipad:

1. 110~220V AC;

2. 24V, 48V DC, with solar panel, li battery inside the lamps;

3. Portable lights, DC type, with charging ports, no solar panels, with li battery inside;

Portable lights have IR mode optional, can be visible at deep night, this function is especially useful for military heliport use.


Heliport Beacon light

A heliport beacon should be provided at a heliport where:

a) long-range visual guidance is considered necessary and is not provided by other visual means; or
b) identification of the heliport is difficult due to surrounding lights

The heliport beacon shall be located on or adjacent to the heliport preferably at an elevated position and so that it does not dazzle a pilot at short range.
The heliport beacon emit repeated series of equispaced short duration white flashes.
The light from the beacon is show at all angels of azimuth.



The heliport apron light beacon is a light beacon that indicates the location of the heliport apron and is used to guide the location of the apron for aviation pilots.


The heliport apron lights are marked with white flashes, 20-30 times per minute. The flashing of the lamps should not be dazzling to the pilots, and it should be ensured that the aviation pilots can see the beacon at any angle, so as to clearly define the location of the apron.


The heliport apron beacon can be divided into: L-801A medium-intensity airport beacon, L-801S medium-intensity seaplane base beacon, L-802A high-intensity airport beacon, L-802S high-intensity seaplane base beacon , L-810X1A low-intensity airport beacon, L-80X1H heliport beacon, L-80X1S low-intensity seaplane base beacon. According to the specific installation environment and installation requirements, choose different types of lights for installation.


The heliport beacon (also known as the heliport apron beacon) is suitable for the apron of the flat heliport or the apron of the high-rise heliport. It needs to be installed in a location where the apron is not blocked, and the pilots must be able to see 360 degrees so that the heliport apron location can be quickly identified.



Scope

This specification details Federal Aviation Administration requirements for airport light beacons at civil airports, military airports, seaplane bases, and heliports.

Flash Duration

a. The duration of individual flashes must be from 75 to 300 milliseconds (ms).

b. The requirement above may be met in capacitor discharge-type beacons by a series of rapid successive flashes which appear to the viewer to be one uninterrupted flash.


Signal Format

a. Airport beacons must provide the following signal colors:

L-801H & L-802H Alternate white, green, and yellow


Input Voltage

The airport beacons must be designed to operate from a standard line voltage below 600 volts, at a tolerance of ±10 percent, 60 Hertz line frequency, alternating current.

2. Characteristics of Lamp

The product can send out an omnidirectional white light signal at night or during the day with low visibility to clearly indicate the location of the helipad.

3. Installation

a) Please read carefully the product specification before using the driver to make sure the operation environment can meet the requirement as per the specification.

b) While connecting the tube to the power, please make sure the switch is “off”.

c) Do not disassemble the lamp by yourself.
