Civil Aviation Resources Network, July 3, 2024: According to foreign media reports, Air Canada has reached an agreement with BOC Aviation to order eight Boeing 737-8 aircraft, scheduled for delivery in 2024.
Michael Rousseau, President and CEO of Air Canada, said: "We look forward to these aircraft entering service next year after completing some necessary modifications. These eight new, fuel- and cost-efficient 737-8 aircraft will provide greater fleet flexibility and additional capacity while supporting one of our sustainable development goals of reducing emissions."
Steven Townend, Director, General Manager and CEO of BOC Aviation, said: "We are pleased that Air Canada is working with us again to strengthen its aviation network."
