Airbus appoints Pershuman as chief operating officer of Airbus China

 

Airbus appointed Erik Buschmann as Chief Operating Officer of Airbus China starting from January 1, 2024. Pershuman reports to Xu Gang, Airbus Global Executive Vice President and Airbus China CEO, and to Florent Massou dit Labaquère, Airbus Executive Vice President of Commercial Aircraft Business Operations and a member of the Airbus Executive Committee.

In this position, Pershuman takes over from Michel Tran Van and is responsible for leading the production, quality, procurement, technology and engineering teams of Airbus's civil aircraft business in China.

Boschumann is passionate about the aerospace industry and has been with Airbus for more than 20 years. He previously held a number of senior management positions in France, Spain and Germany. He holds a Master's degree in Auditing/Accounting/Logistics from the Technical University of Berlin.
