According to CCTV news reports, on March 31, the foundation construction of the 209 assembly plant, the largest single building of the Airbus Tianjin A320 series aircraft second assembly line project, was successfully completed and officially entered the above-ground construction stage. This project is located in the airport area of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone. It is the second A320 series aircraft assembly line invested and constructed by Airbus in China. It is built based on the existing Airbus Tianjin Assembly Company factory and mainly produces A320 series aircraft.
As the key control building of the second assembly line of Airbus Tianjin A320 series aircraft, the 209 assembly plant is a long-span steel structure plant with a construction area of 43,000 square meters. Its underground foundation is a 10,000 square meter fair-face concrete pipe gallery, which is buried There are nearly 2,700 18-meter-long prefabricated pipe piles, and the amount of steel bars reaches 4,900 tons.
The Airbus Tianjin A320 series aircraft second final assembly line project includes 13 individual buildings including the 209 final assembly plant, the No. 214 painting hangar, and the No. 219 final assembly and work group hangar. According to the person in charge of the project of China Railway Construction Bridge Bureau, it is planned that the final assembly plant will be delivered and put into operation in July 2025. By then, Tianjin will form an overall layout of two single-aisle aircraft production lines and one dual-aisle aircraft production line, which will strongly support Airbus to increase global production capacity and better meet the global market demand for Airbus aircraft. As a major project to deepen China-EU strategic partnership in the new era, the phased construction results of this assembly line will play an important role in further promoting China-EU high-tech cooperation and promoting the innovation and development of my country's aviation industry.
