Alaska Airlines cancels all Boeing 737MAX 9 flights until 16th

 

News from Civil Aviation Resources Network on January 14, 2024: Alaska Airlines announced that it will continue to cancel flights of Boeing 737MAX 9 aircraft until January 16. Alaska Airlines said this equates to 110-150 flight cancellations per day.

According to previous reports, on January 10, local time, Alaska Airlines announced the cancellation of all Boeing 737 MAX9 flights until January 13. Alaska Airlines said in an updated statement on the 9th that they are still waiting for documents from Boeing and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to begin inspections of the airline's Boeing 737 MAX 9 fleet.

 

Previously, the emergency hatch of an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX9 passenger plane fell off during the flight. The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration subsequently ordered the grounding of 171 Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft worldwide and conducted inspections.
