Civil Aviation Resources Network, May 8, 2025: According to Reuters, on May 7, local time, U.S. Air Force officials said that Boeing has proposed a plan to deliver the previously delayed new "Air Force One" aircraft in 2027.

Acting Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Air Force Darlene Costello said at a hearing of the House Armed Services Committee that day: "We are considering various requirements to meet this date, but we cannot fully guarantee the realization of this date. Boeing did propose this."

Costello pointed out that the U.S. military is negotiating with the White House to determine the final model configuration of "Air Force One". However, she also emphasized that there are still some key issues to be resolved, and once completed, the final delivery time will be more accurately assessed.

According to previous reports, in February this year, U.S. President Donald Trump once again criticized Boeing because the new presidential aircraft project approved during his first term has not been completed so far. The Associated Press quoted White House officials as saying that Trump "inspected new hardware and technology on a new Boeing aircraft" at Palm Beach International Airport in Florida, and that the inspection "highlighted that the new Air Force One was not delivered on time as promised."
