Brunei Airlines: Targeting to start operating COMAC ARJ21 within this year

 

Civil Aviation Resources Network February 23, 2024 News: According to Reuters, on February 23 local time, Brunei Gallop Air CEO Cham Chi said that Gallop Air was working with COMAC and Brunei's civil aviation regulator Cooperate to seek air operator certificate and type certificate approval, with the goal of starting operations of ARJ21 in 2024.

Cham Chi said in an interview during the Singapore Air Show that COMAC is exploring the establishment of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities in Brunei to find more international customers for its aircraft.

In September last year, Qiji Airlines signed a letter of intent to purchase 30 aircraft with COMAC, including C919 and ARJ21 models.

In addition, Cham Chi said that Qiji Airlines is also cooperating with the customer service department of COMAC.
