Call for a strike! The country's airports face flight disruptions

 

Civil Aviation Resource Network News on April 16, 2023: According to Reuters news, the Nigerian trade union said on the 14th local time that due to strong dissatisfaction with working conditions and remuneration, Nigerian aviation industry employees will go on strike for the second time this year. The airport will face two days of disruption starting on the 17th.

 

The aviation industry in Nigeria is facing many problems, including poor facilities and fuel shortages. The union representing pilots, engineers, control tower operators and other airport workers said in a notice on the 14th that they would suspend work on the 17th and 18th. "All aviation workers are hereby instructed to stop all services in the sector on April 17-18 as a warning strike. Should the warning strike fail to achieve the desired results, an indefinite strike will be held," the union said.
