Cathay Pacific announces purchase of 30 Airbus A330-900 aircraft

Civil Aviation Resources Network, August 7, 2024: Cathay Pacific Group has confirmed an order for 30 A330-900 wide-body aircraft from Airbus. The order was made after the company conducted a comprehensive assessment based on its medium-sized wide-body fleet renewal plan.
The newly ordered A330neo aircraft will enable Cathay Pacific to update its previous generation A330-300 fleet and expand its operations on high-density regional routes. It can also be used flexibly to fly long-haul routes. Like all A330neos, the new aircraft will be powered by the latest generation of Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines.
