The Cathay Pacific Group said that Cathay Pacific and Hong Kong Express had added about 3,000 passenger flights in the fourth quarter of this year. Looking ahead to 2023, Cathay Pacific will resume flying to more destinations.
In addition, Hong Kong Express has resumed flights to and from Tokyo (Haneda), Chiang Mai and Da Nang since December, and will resume flights to Jeju and Busan in January.
The Cathay Pacific Group has been working hard to restore the flight network of the Hong Kong aviation hub, and is moving towards the goal of restoring passenger flight capacity to about one-third of the pre-epidemic level by the end of this year. It is expected to be able to operate equivalent to 70% of the pre-epidemic passenger flight capacity by the end of next year.
