Recently, the 2024 Annual Conference of the Chinese Society of Refrigeration was held in Beijing. The "Dongdongce" temperature control label independently developed by China Eastern Cold Chain, a subsidiary of China Eastern Logistics, won the "Excellent Innovation Case in Cold Chain Logistics" award at the conference for its innovation and practicality.
As the first cold chain company in the civil aviation field, China Eastern Cold Chain was established in May 2024. The award-winning "Dongdongce" temperature control label product was innovatively developed by China Eastern Cold Chain in response to industry pain points such as information disconnection, temperature disconnection and monitoring disconnection, filling a gap in the industry. In the application of this product, with the help of temperature control tags, back-end personnel can monitor cargo information in real time. Once an abnormality occurs, the system will promptly issue early warning reminders to specific objects. The "Dongdongce" temperature control tag has the characteristics of small size and long battery life, and is suitable for almost all transportation equipment including aircraft. Since all parties involved in the research and development considered cost reduction for future large-scale use, the cost of the "Dongdong Test" equipment has been greatly optimized, allowing China Eastern Cold Chain to achieve subsequent large-scale application.
At present, the "Dongdong Test" equipment has been tested in practical applications in various scenarios such as king crab, salmon, lobster and other fresh goods, as well as biomedical transportation. The test results show that de-temperature chain breakage and transportation cargo damage of temperature-sensitive goods have been significantly reduced, and unnatural losses of high-value goods such as king crabs and lobsters have also been significantly reduced. Customers who participated in the test expressed their hope to continue to promote its use in subsequent cooperation.
It is reported that in the later development, China Eastern Logistics will fully consider the needs of the Internet of Things and further enhance the intelligence level of "Eastern Test" by introducing advanced means such as AI technology and expand its application scenarios.
