EVA Air to buy five 787s
News from Civil Aviation Resources Network on March 14, 2023: EVA Air announced today that it will introduce five brand-new Boeing 787-9 passenger aircraft through self-purchase. At that time, EVA Air's Boeing 787 fleet will increase to 26, including 13 Boeing 787-9s and 13 Boeing 787-10s.
Sun Jiaming, general manager of EVA Air, pointed out that in the future flight scheduling and arrangement of the Boeing 787 fleet, the Boeing 787-9 will mainly be used on routes in Europe and North America. In the middle of next year, the Royal Laurel Class, Premium Economy Class and Economy Class will be available. and other services to meet the market and increase competitiveness; while the Boeing 787-10 will maintain the existing economy class and royal laurel class, mainly flying routes in Asia and Oceania.
At present, EVA Air has 85 aircraft, including 77 passenger planes and 8 cargo planes, and another 4 Boeing 787-9, 7 Boeing 787-10 and 1 Boeing 777 freighter have not yet been delivered, and are expected to be completed before 2025 import.
