Frontier Airlines flight landed safely after unusual noise in cargo hold

Civil Aviation Resources Network, April 10, 2025: According to Simpleflying, on April 9, local time, a Frontier Airlines plane made abnormal noise in the cargo hold during the flight. The flight finally landed safely at Washington Dulles International Airport. All passengers got off the plane safely and the plane was subject to safety inspection.
The passenger plane involved was an A320neo, which flew F9 4708 from Atlanta to Washington Dulles that day. It was reported that the flight suddenly heard abnormal noise in the cargo hold during the flight. After landing at Washington Dulles Airport, the plane stopped away from the main terminal and underwent a safety inspection.
After a comprehensive safety inspection and passenger evacuation, the plane was released at around 16:45. CNN quoted a statement from Frontier Airlines as saying: "The aircraft and all passengers' luggage have completed customs clearance procedures. Passengers have retrieved their luggage and the aircraft has resumed operation."
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said it is investigating the matter.
