How To Replace Aviation Obstruction Lights?

As a special equipment, aviation obstruction light is composed of a variety of components, so its life is also related to the life of each component. Usually the most vulnerable part is the light source. Therefore, the life of the light source almost determines the life of the aviation obstruction light.

There are generally two types of light sources for aviation obstruction lights: LED obstruction lights and xenon tube obstruction lights. As a low-power green light source, LEDs generally have a relatively long lifespan. Good LEDs have a lifespan of more than 100,000 hours and can work normally for more than 5 years. Although the life span of the xenon tube is not as good as that of the LED light source, it also has its necessity: in some places where high-intensity aviation obstruction lights are needed, only the xenon tube can achieve the required brightness.

In addition to the failure of aviation obstruction lights due to component damage, in actual use, the main reason that the obstruction lights often do not work is that the aviation obstruction lights enter water, but the internal circuit boards and other electronic components are soaked in water and discarded. Therefore, when installing aviation obstruction lights, customers must pay attention to whether the fastening screws of the aviation obstruction lights are firm and whether the waterproofness meets the requirements.

When the aviation obstruction lights are damaged and not working, we need to replace them. According to the installation method, aviation obstruction lights can be divided into two types: the vertical installation on the roof and the side wall installation. The vertical installation is generally not equipped with brackets, and some brackets must be installed due to the actual height. The side-mounted aviation obstruction lights generally need to be installed. Bracket. After determining which obstruction lights are broken, you need to remove them (don't remove the bracket), and then look for suitable obstruction lights to replace. When replacing, be sure to pay attention to whether the installation size of the obstruction light matches the bracket
