According to the SpiceJet website, as of June 2023, its fleet consists of 91 aircraft. It was unclear whether that figure included the 25 planes it grounded.
SpiceJet is trying to revive its grounded fleet, most recently by leasing 20 engines in partnership with FTAI Aviation. SpiceJet said the grounded planes would return to service soon. "The introduction of these aircraft, which coincides with India's peak tourist season, will help us open new routes and strengthen our presence on existing routes."
