On January 5, the main building of the T3 terminal project of the third phase expansion project of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport was fully capped.
Baiyun T3 Terminal has four floors above ground (partly 5-6 floors) and 1 floor underground (partly 2 floors). It is divided into main building A and main building B. Main building A is 487 meters long from east to west and 221 meters long from north to south. Main building B is long from east to west. It is 291 meters long and 373 meters long from north to south. The main body is a reinforced concrete frame, and the roof adopts a prestressed grid + truss structure.

It is reported that the total investment of the third phase of the Baiyun Airport expansion project is 53.77 billion yuan, which mainly builds the new T3 terminal, two west and east runways, a comprehensive transportation center, and the east and west fourth corridors of the T2 terminal. Among them, the East 4th and West 4th corridors of Terminal 2 have been put into operation on December 31, 2023. The project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in 2025. After the completion of this project, the annual passenger throughput capacity of Baiyun Airport will reach 120 million passengers, the cargo and mail throughput capacity will reach 3.8 million tons, the terminal passenger throughput capacity will reach 140 million passengers, and the cargo and mail throughput capacity will reach 600 tons. million tons, the passenger and cargo throughput scale will be in a leading position in the world.
