Two gliders collide mid-air, one pilot dies at the scene
According to British media reports, on August 17, two gliders collided in the air in Leicestershire, England. One pilot was killed and the other was slightly injured.

According to local police sources, the wreckage of a glider was found in the wilderness on the outskirts of Melton Mowbray, and the pilot was pronounced dead at the scene. The other glider landed safely with minor injuries to the pilot.
The report pointed out that the British Air Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) will investigate the accident.
