UPS orders eight Boeing 767 freighters

Civil Aviation Resource Network August 30, 2022: Boeing announced on Monday (August 29) that it has received an order for 8 additional 767 freighters from United Parcel Service (UPS). The new order will bring UPS to 108 767 freighters, enabling it to further modernize and sustain its fleet.
Nando Cesarone, Executive Vice President of UPS, said: "The addition of the 767 will help us continue to provide excellent service to UPS customers around the world. It is a versatile aircraft that operates in every region of the world. With these aircraft, Our fleet will be one of the most modern in the industry, increasing our efficiency and reliability while meeting customer needs."
Ihssane Mounir, vice president of commercial sales at Boeing, said: "UPS's new order demonstrates the 767 freighter's outstanding cargo capacity, and we are honored that UPS has chosen to use the 767 to build a more sustainable and efficient fleet."
UPS will begin taking delivery of these new aircraft in 2025, with another 767-300 converted freighter (BCF) due to enter service by the end of 2023.
