Virgin Atlantic suspends London-Hong Kong route, closes Hong Kong office

Virgin Atlantic announced that due to the continued closure of Russian airspace, the operational complexity has increased significantly, and it has decided to suspend flight services from London Heathrow Airport to and from Hong Kong and close its Hong Kong office.

Virgin Atlantic also said it would not resume flights to Hong Kong in March 2023 as planned. They apologise to passengers who booked tickets from March next year onwards, and passengers can change their flight or get a full refund.

Virgin Atlantic began offering flights from London to Hong Kong in 1994 and suspended the route from December 2021.
