Yining Airport, Xinjiang's third aviation port, passed national acceptance

According to Xinjiang Airport Group, on December 21, the National Port Management Office inspected the Yining Airport and the International Freight Warehouse. After review, the opening of Yining Airport passed the inspection of the national acceptance group and officially became the third aviation port in Xinjiang open to the outside world after Urumqi and Kashgar.
Yining Airport was built in 1936 and is located in the northern suburbs of Yining City. It covers an area of 299 hectares and has a flight area level of 4C. It is one of the earliest airports built in Xinjiang. Yining Airport has been renovated and expanded eight times, with a terminal area of 24,700 square meters (including 8,000 square meters of the international terminal). It is the main and backup landing site of Urumqi International Airport.
