Civil Aviation Resources Network, July 28, 2025: According to Russian media reports, Aeroflot issued an announcement stating that due to a failure in the information system, flights may be delayed or canceled. At present, Aeroflot has canceled dozens of flights. A hacker group later claimed that the failure was caused by a cyber attack launched by it.
Aeroflot said in a statement: "Failures in the airline's information system may lead to service interruptions. Therefore, adjustments to the existing flight schedule are expected, including flight delays and cancellations."
The company also said that the technical team is currently working hard to minimize the impact on flight operations and restore normal services as soon as possible. However, the statement did not disclose the specific scale and possible cause of the failure.
