Air China and Emirates deepen cooperation to explore new business opportunities

Civil Aviation Resources Network, June 3, 2025: On June 1, 2025, during the annual meeting of the International Air Transport Association held in New Delhi, India, Air China Limited (hereinafter referred to as "Air China") and Emirates Airlines announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding to deepen cooperation. The two sides will jointly promote in-depth cooperation in business areas such as interline and code sharing, frequent flyers and lounges, network connection optimization, customer experience improvement and cargo transportation. The two airlines will also share best practices in revenue management, data insights, digital transformation, brand management and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). By building a long-term, mutually beneficial and win-win partnership, Air China and Emirates Airlines will work together to enhance the travel experience of passengers in both countries, help deepen and implement the high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road Initiative", and serve the vigorous development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the UAE.
Air China currently operates a number of routes between China and the UAE, namely Beijing-Dubai (7 flights per week), Hangzhou-Dubai (3 flights per week), Chongqing-Dubai (3 flights per week), and will also open the Beijing-Abu Dhabi route this year to build an air bridge for personnel exchanges and economic, trade and cultural exchanges between China and the UAE. Air China is actively expanding its regional network in the Middle East. Through in-depth cooperation with Emirates Airlines, it will effectively enhance the convenience of connectivity and exchanges between China and countries along the "Belt and Road", create seamless travel services for customers of both sides, and lay a solid foundation for Air China to build a world-class aviation company.
