Civil Aviation Resources Network, June 03, 2025: Air China Limited has received its first Airbus A319neo aircraft in Hamburg, Germany, becoming the latest customer to operate this efficient and advanced single-aisle aircraft.

The Airbus A319neo aircraft is powered by CFM International Leap-1A engines. Air China has set up 8 business class seats and 120 economy class seats for the aircraft in a two-class cabin layout. As of the end of April 2025, Air China operates 206 A320 series aircraft, 44 A330 series aircraft and 30 A350-900 aircraft.

The Airbus A320neo series aircraft is one of the most popular single-aisle aircraft in the world, and has received more than 11,000 orders from more than 140 customers worldwide. The A319neo is a member of the A320neo family of aircraft and is also the main model in China's high-altitude market. Compared with the previous generation of single-aisle aircraft, its fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced by at least 20%. At the same time, the wider cabin in the single-aisle aircraft provides better comfort for passengers.

Like all Airbus aircraft, the A320neo Family can currently fly on up to a 50% blend of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), with Airbus aiming to fly on 100% SAF by 2030.
