Airbus A350 Freighter Delayed to 2026
Civil Aviation Resource Network News on May 7, 2023: According to Flightglobal, Airbus has postponed the operation of the A350 freighter until 2026. Airbus said that the overall planning of the freighter is being slightly adjusted. Airbus Chief Executive Guillaume Faury told an earnings briefing that the delay was only a few months compared to the original plan to bring it into service by the end of 2025.
Airbus, which still expects its long-range single-aisle program, the A321XLR, to enter service in the second quarter of 2024, is ramping up production of the A320neo family of jets and intends to reach 65 aircraft per month by the end of next year. By mid-2025, Airbus will produce 14 A220s a month, four A330s next year and nine A350s a month.
