According to the airline, due to weather conditions en route, the Airbus A320 needed to carry more fuel, which meant that multiple bags had to be unloaded to keep the total weight of the aircraft within safe operating ranges.
The flight took off from Auckland Airport at 15:54 and landed in Rarotonga 3 hours and 40 minutes later.
