Civil Aviation Resources Network, August 20, 2024: According to International Airport Review, Oakland International Airport (OAK) announced that it will launch a new AR game for passengers. The airport has partnered with educational technology platform Agents of Discovery to enhance the travel experience of passengers. The report said that the new AR game is related to aviation and environmental themes to further enhance the travel experience.
Craig Simon, Director of Aviation at the Port of Oakland, said: "The Oakland International Airport team is delighted to work with Agents of Discovery to launch this brand new activity for airport passengers. This is a fun new way for passengers to spend time at the airport."
The activity is currently underway and will last until September 7, 2024. Passengers can download the free Agents of Discovery mobile app at different locations. The game will assign players some small tasks related to aviation and the environment, allowing players to further understand the local history, culture, ecosystem, etc., and will provide English, Spanish and French.
