British Airways announced that it will suspend the "London-Beijing" route from October 26, 2024, and promised to contact affected passengers to rebook other tickets or provide them with a full refund option.
British Airways also stated that it will continue to provide daily flights from London to Shanghai and Hong Kong. The change to "London-Beijing" currently only involves flight arrangements between November 2024 and November 2025, and it will continue to evaluate flight operating times. Currently, like other British airlines, British Airways cannot fly into Russian airspace. British Airways said this means a significant increase in flight time and the resulting commercial impact.
