According to Bloomberg, sources familiar with the matter revealed that Boeing is close to securing its first major aircraft order in nearly a decade with China, involving approximately 500 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The announcement is expected during US President Trump's visit to China.
The sources also stated that Boeing is in talks with China regarding orders for approximately 100 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and Boeing 777X wide-body aircraft, although these deals may be announced at a later date.
Currently, the two sides are still negotiating specific details and have not yet reached a final agreement.
Boeing still has 134 aircraft orders pending delivery from Chinese airlines.
