On October 25 (local time), a Boeing 737-800 aircraft operated by the British low-cost carrier Jet2 veered off the runway while landing at Birmingham Airport. The plane briefly entered the grass area beside the runway before returning to the pavement; all individuals on board disembarked safely.
According to the aviation news website AirLive, the flight-identified as LS1310 and operated by a Boeing 737-800 (registration number G-JZHE)-was a scheduled passenger service from Venice Marco Polo Airport in Italy to Birmingham Airport in the UK.
At approximately 14:19 local time, while rolling out after landing on Runway 33 at Birmingham Airport, the aircraft veered to the left and briefly entered the grass area adjacent to the runway. The flight crew subsequently maneuvered the aircraft back onto the runway, from where it taxied to its designated parking stand.
Jet2 subsequently confirmed to the media that, following landing, the aircraft in question briefly veered off the runway-an incident attributed to extreme weather conditions brought on by Storm Boelo. The aircraft later returned to the runway, and all passengers disembarked safely; no injuries were reported.
In the wake of the incident, flight operations at Birmingham Airport experienced brief disruptions.
