Civil Aviation Resources Network, August 11, 2025: According to foreign media reports, a Delta Air Lines passenger plane collided with another Delta Air Lines passenger plane while pushing out of the gate at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on August 10, local time, causing a flight delay of over four hours.
The flight involved was flight DL1830 from Atlanta to Guatemala, operated by a Boeing 757. There were reportedly 192 passengers, four flight attendants, and two pilots on board DL1830 at the time of the incident, and no one was injured.
A Delta Air Lines spokesperson confirmed that the aircraft collided with an unmanned A350 aircraft while pushing out of the gate. Delta Air Lines stated that all passengers disembarked safely and transferred to another flight to continue to their destinations.
Delta Air Lines said in a statement: "During pushback from the gate, the wing of flight DL1830 made contact with another Delta Air Lines aircraft. No crew members or passengers were injured. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience this incident has caused our passengers."
The extent of the damage to the aircraft has not yet been determined.
