On October 15, 2026, China Eastern Airlines' "air-rail intermodal" complimentary transfer service was further expanded. Effective immediately, passengers who purchase tickets for domestic flights arriving at or departing from Shenzhen Airport-operated by China Eastern Airlines or Shanghai Airlines and bearing a ticket number starting with "781"-are eligible to receive a free ticket for the "Guangdong Intercity Railway."
China Eastern Airlines' complimentary "air-rail intermodal" transfer service will benefit passengers across seven cities: Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Foshan, Dongguan, Qingyuan, Huizhou, and Zhaoqing. After purchasing a flight ticket, passengers can verify their details and claim their service voucher via the "Easy Travel" (Chang Yi Xing) section of the latest China Eastern Airlines mobile app. By completing identity verification and obtaining a travel QR code at a terminal located at any "Guangdong Intercity" railway station, passengers can enjoy free travel on the region's frequent, transit-style intercity trains to or from the Shenzhen Airport terminal. The voucher is valid for use during a window spanning from 00:00 on the day before the scheduled flight departure to 24:00 on the day after the scheduled flight departure. One voucher may be claimed for each eligible flight segment.
