The 140th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) opened today in Guangzhou. As a strategic partner of the Canton Fair, China Southern Airlines ("China Southern") has established a comprehensive service zone at booth 5-1 in Area A of the exhibition complex. Centered on the high-quality joint development of the "Belt and Road Initiative," the airline is leveraging its strengths in air transport-enhanced by technology-driven smart travel solutions-to continuously optimize its route network. Furthermore, China Southern is offering a range of exclusive benefits and on-site services, all aimed at ensuring an efficient, convenient, and comfortable travel experience for global business visitors.

Expanding International Routes for the Winter-Spring Season: Furthering the Global Network
Coinciding with the transition to the 2026 winter-spring flight season, China Southern Airlines (CSAir) highlighted its recently launched and upcoming international routes, offering global travelers a broader range of options. On October 12, the airline inaugurated a new route connecting Guangzhou, Changsha, and Addis Ababa. As the only service operated by a Chinese carrier to Ethiopia, this route establishes an aerial link between South China and East Africa, facilitating economic, trade, and cultural exchanges under the "Belt and Road" initiative. For the winter-spring season, CSAir will increase the frequency of flights from Guangzhou to Auckland, Christchurch, Sydney, Melbourne, and Toronto, further strengthening its presence in the markets of Australia, New Zealand, and North America.
Enhanced Smart Travel: Multilingual Services for Seamless Communication
At this year's Canton Fair, CSAir partnered with iFlytek to install multilingual translation screens at its booth. Supporting real-time, two-way translation across languages-including Chinese, English, French, Spanish, Arabic, and Russian-these tools ensure barrier-free communication for exhibitors and buyers from around the world. Additionally, "smart" robots were deployed at the service counter to assist with welcoming and guiding visitors, answering inquiries, facilitating interactive check-ins, and even providing in-flight catering demonstrations. These robots drew significant attention from attendees, becoming a technological highlight at the service counter. From check-in and seat selection to flight consultations, CSAir leverages intelligent solutions to accelerate service response times and improve travel efficiency for its customers.

One-Stop Services and Exclusive Privileges to Support Global Business Travelers
During the Canton Fair, China Southern Airlines (CSAir) is offering a comprehensive, one-stop service at its on-site booth, covering everything from exclusive fare discounts on domestic and international routes to seat selection, check-in, and baggage handling. By presenting their Canton Fair credentials, business travelers can take advantage of additional, exclusive discounts. Furthermore, CSAir has introduced a "Canton Fair Travel Privileges Package," which includes benefits such as a single-trip intercity rail voucher, domestic flight upgrade vouchers, mileage-based seat selection vouchers, priority boarding, and discounts for airport lounge access-offering tangible travel perks to attendees. Additionally, CSAir is hosting an exclusive tasting event at its booth: by presenting a flight booking record, business travelers can enjoy a complimentary cup of Ethiopian coffee-prepared by CSAir's in-flight catering team-or receive a piece of branded merchandise from the airline.

Meanwhile, China Southern Airlines has established dedicated service counters for the Canton Fair at Terminal 2 of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. The airline has also introduced themed flight information displays and set up additional service stations in areas such as the check-in zone and the international arrivals hall. Staff at these locations carry multilingual translation devices and wear special service sashes, providing real-time translation support in various languages-including Italian, Russian, and French-to international travelers. Furthermore, additional guidance stations have been set up in areas handling international arrivals and departures, as well as those designated for 240-hour visa-free transit. Here, staff assist international travelers with tasks such as completing electronic declarations and navigating through peak passenger traffic, ensuring a smooth and convenient travel experience for all business visitors.

Air Logistics Services Bolster Global Trade Connectivity
In addition to passenger transport services, China Southern Airlines Logistics (CSN Logistics) is providing air freight consulting at its Canton Fair booth. The company assists exhibitors and buyers with inquiries regarding international cargo routes, freight rates, transit times, and customs clearance, helping businesses efficiently connect to global supply chains. Leveraging China Southern Airlines' extensive global route network and robust cargo-carrying capacity, CSN Logistics provides stable and efficient air logistics support for "Made in China" products reaching international markets, as well as for the global circulation of goods.

At this session of the Canton Fair, China Southern Airlines (CSAir) has provided a delightful experience characterized by "intelligence and a welcoming touch," ensuring that global business travelers encounter both convenience and warmth from the very moment they arrive in Guangzhou. Leveraging an expanded international route network for the winter-spring season, CSAir is actively supporting the promotion of inbound tourism, the stabilization and optimization of foreign trade, and the global expansion and inward investment of the advanced manufacturing sector. By serving as an efficient and seamless aerial bridge for international participants at the 140th Canton Fair, the airline continues to contribute to the development of Guangzhou as an international aviation hub and to the high-level opening-up of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
