On March 22, the East China Regional Administration of Civil Aviation of China issued a model certificate for the V2000CG unmanned aircraft system to Fengfei Aviation Technology. This is also the first unmanned ton-level electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft type certificate issued by the Chinese Civil Aviation System. certificate. Fengfei Aviation Technology said that this is the world's first eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) aircraft above a tonnage that has passed type certification.
The V2000CG unmanned aircraft system adopts a composite wing and combines vertical take-off and landing capabilities with fixed-wing cruising capabilities. It can take off and land vertically like a helicopter, and can also achieve the horizontal cruising performance of a fixed-wing aircraft. V2000CG has a maximum take-off weight of 2 tons, a wingspan of 15 meters, pure electric power, autonomous driving, a load capacity of 400 kilograms, and a carrying capacity equivalent to that of a small helicopter. It has an applicable range of 200 kilometers and is mainly used for low-altitude logistics, emergency material transportation and emergency rescue. It is similar to helicopters. It is quieter and more environmentally friendly than helicopters, and its operating and maintenance costs are much lower than that of helicopters.
The low-altitude economy has been included in the government work report and is regarded as one of the "new growth engines" with a trillion-level market potential.
