Embraer's first E-Series freighter makes its maiden flight successfully

Embraer's (hereinafter referred to as "Embraer")'s first passenger-to-cargo E190 aircraft (E190F) successfully completed its maiden flight in São José dos Campos, Brazil. Embraer's team flew the E-Freighter for about two hours and conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the aircraft. Embraer will continue to test the aircraft before it is put into operation. The aircraft belongs to Regional One, a US leasing company.

This first flight is part of a series of evaluations conducted by Embraer before the E-Series freighters are put into operation. This model has successfully completed cabin floor pressurization and cargo loading tests.

The range of Embraer E-Series freighters is three times that of large turboprop freighters, and the cargo volume can be increased by more than 50%. Compared with narrow-body jet freighters, the operating costs of E-Series freighters can be reduced by 30%. The payloads of the E190F and E195F are 13.5 tons and 14.3 tons respectively.
In 2022, Embraer announced the official launch of the E190F and E195F passenger-to-cargo conversion project (P2F). The project involves more than 40 suppliers and more than 600 employees across the global network, who have invested more than 500,000 hours on the E-Series freighter program.
