According to China Construction Third Engineering Bureau, the Hefei Xinqiao International Airport Integrated Transportation Center project recently passed its final acceptance inspection.
Located in Shushan District, Hefei City, this project is a key national and Anhui Province "14th Five-Year Plan" project and Anhui Province's first large-scale integrated transportation hub project combining aviation, high-speed rail, and subway. Upon completion, it will meet the transportation needs of Hefei Xinqiao Airport's annual passenger throughput of 40 million, providing convenient support for the construction of a world-class airport cluster.
The project adopts a "changing scenery with every step" design concept, featuring a streamlined roof and a large-span steel structure dome, deeply integrating the architectural style of Huizhou, creating an airport hub with a "garden-style Xinqiao, ink-wash Jianghuai" style.
The project constructs a super hub flow system of "three-dimensional, three-layer, independent double-ring seamless connection," with elevated, ground, and underground levels for three-dimensional flow separation. Two large rings are formed on the landside, allowing for rapid entry and exit of vehicles without interference, improving peak-hour traffic efficiency by 30%. A strip of open space is set up along the circular viaduct to naturally guide passengers to the check-in hall, and arriving passengers can seamlessly connect in the opposite direction, allowing passengers to transfer efficiently while enjoying a scenic view at every step.
