According to a comprehensive foreign media report, due to a shortage of aircraft, Air India has canceled about 60 flights to and from San Francisco, Washington, Chicago, New York and New Jersey in the United States from November 15 to December 31. The airline has provided affected passengers with free rebooking or full refund services.

Foreign media reported that Air India has canceled a large number of flights to some destinations in the United States due to insufficient wide-body aircraft in operation.

Air India said in a statement: "Due to the need for overhaul of some aircraft and the impact of supply chain restrictions, the number of operating fleets has been temporarily reduced. Air India regrets to announce that a small number of flights will be canceled from now until the end of December."

Air India also stated that in view of the current challenges, Air India has taken the initiative to cancel some flights for the safety of passengers. At the same time, Air India provides alternatives, and passengers can choose to rebook flights of other Indian Airlines Group on the same day or adjacent dates.
