On January 16, 2026, Civil Aviation Resource Network reported: On January 15, 2026, a warm atmosphere filled the conference room of Spring Airlines' new building as six young people from ethnic minorities in the mountains of Honghe, Yunnan, officially became apprentices, becoming the first batch of aviation safety trainees in Spring Airlines' "Blue Sky Dream Building Plan 2.0." Their tangible achievements have written a new chapter in rural revitalization through the "United in Building Dreams" initiative.

"From the terraced fields to the metropolis surrounded by the Huangpu River, the students of the 'Dream Building Plan' have been pursuing their dreams of flying high," said trainee representative Li Linsen with excitement. Behind each trainee is the hope of a family and the power of rural revitalization. At the end of 2024, Spring Airlines recruited aviation security officers for the first time from high school graduates in Honghe, Yunnan, a province it supports. After rigorous selection, the students received systematic training and are now officially entering the workforce. These trainees all come from families with multiple children, including five Hani people.

Spring Airlines, upholding its fine tradition of mentorship, carefully selected highly skilled and reputable senior employees from among its many staff members to serve as mentors for this group of safety trainees. This "experienced-to-new" teaching model helps employees grow faster and further stimulates the team's vitality and creativity. As a representative of the mentors, Xu Shensheng, a veteran of the Hong Kong Garrison and one of Spring Airlines' first security officers, pledged: "We will pass on every detail of special operations and every principle of security duty to our apprentices without reservation."

According to the training plan, each trainee will be paired with a mentor for three months of intensive flight training, receiving comprehensive guidance from theoretical regulations to practical skills, from professional ethics to life care. "Mentors must 'learn to be role models and set an example,' while apprentices must uphold 'humility and eagerness to learn, and the unity of knowledge and action,'" Xu Shensheng's words express the shared pursuit of both mentors and apprentices. In the subsequent oath-taking ceremony, team leader Zhang Ruiqi led all trainees in a solemn oath: "Uphold the bottom line of safety and resolutely safeguard air defense security!" This resounding oath was not only a promise to the blue sky but also a commitment to fulfilling the mission of providing assistance.

In recent years, Spring Airlines, under the leadership of its Party Committee, has consistently carried out the "Building Dreams in the Blue Sky" program for seven consecutive years, using industrial assistance as a link. This program has not only provided the company with diversified talent but also cultivated sustainable development capabilities for border regions, becoming an innovative practice in Shanghai-Yunnan cooperation.
