Yang Jiuzhou, General Manager of Hainan Airlines' Chongqing Branch, stated in his address: "The opening of the Hainan Airlines VIP lounge at Chongqing Airport represents a further deepening and realization of the 'New Hainan Airlines' philosophy of craftsmanship-driven service. As our Chongqing Branch approaches its third anniversary of operations, we view this lounge opening as a fresh starting point. We remain committed to upholding Hainan Airlines' five-star service standards, strengthening strategic collaboration with Chongqing Airport and our partners, and comprehensively upgrading both ground services and the in-flight travel experience for our passengers."
Developed through a partnership between Hainan Airlines and Chongqing Airport, the new VIP lounge is situated directly opposite Gate E08 in Terminal 3A of Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, offering convenient access-just a five-minute walk-after passengers pass through the domestic security checkpoint. Spanning approximately 1,200 square meters, the lounge serves as a significant upgrade to Hainan Airlines' ground services in Chongqing and can accommodate up to 190 passengers during peak periods. It features a range of functional areas, including a private rest zone, complimentary massage chairs, a library, a printing station, a dining area, shower facilities, and private restrooms. This launch marks a further evolution of Hainan Airlines' ground service capabilities in Chongqing toward a more refined and scenario-based service model.

The VIP lounge features a gold-dominant color palette and an artistic aesthetic defined by the natural light spectrum; the use of negative space connects the curved ceilings, while elegant color schemes and unique decorative accents complete the design. The Chongqing Library Airport Branch located within the lounge draws inspiration from the decor style of Zhongshuge Bookstore; mirrored ceilings visually expand the space, creating the magical atmosphere of a mirrored library where travelers can quietly enjoy the poetry and distant horizons found in books. The dining area offers hot meals and local specialties, such as Chongqing-style noodles. Notably, the design of two snack counters forms the silhouette of a ship sailing boldly amidst the currents where the two rivers meet.

Hainan Airlines has long been deeply committed to the Chongqing market. Leveraging its Chongqing branch, the airline has continuously increased resource investment, operating nearly 60 daily inbound and outbound flights connecting to 14 major domestic cities. It has launched nine direct international routes from Chongqing-to destinations including Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Rome, Madrid, Paris, Milan, Brussels, Seattle, and Auckland-creating a network that spans Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania. Building on this solid route network, Hainan Airlines has concentrated resources on developing premium "express routes" such as Chongqing–Beijing and Chongqing–Haikou. It also pioneered distinctive services in the region, such as the "pets in the cabin" program, to meet the diverse travel needs of passengers. Furthermore, with the support and cooperation of entities like Chongqing Airport and Customs, Hainan Airlines was the first to launch and fully implement "through-check" services for intercontinental flights in the region, establishing itself as a pioneer and key player in the development of Chongqing as an international aviation hub.
On September 18 (Beijing Time), SKYTRAX, the global airline and airport service rating agency, held its World Airline Awards ceremony in London, UK. Thanks to its consistently high-quality service and product offerings, Hainan Airlines was named a "SKYTRAX Five-Star Airline" for the fifteenth consecutive time and ranked among the "World's Top 10 Airlines." Additionally, the airline secured multiple global and regional honors, including "Best Airline in China," "Best Airline Staff Service in China," and "Best Business Class Airline Comfort Amenities." As the only SKYTRAX five-star airline in mainland China, Hainan Airlines remains steadfast in upholding safety standards and its original commitment to service. By continuously innovating service products, optimizing processes, and refining details, the airline blends the essence of Eastern culture with modern aviation services. It strives to enhance its international service capabilities, providing global travelers with a safer, more comfortable, convenient, and delightful five-star flying experience, thereby contributing to the high-quality development of China's civil aviation industry.
