As of December 10, 2025, Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport handled 17.0104 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 4.46%, surpassing the 17 million mark 21 days earlier than last year.
In 2025, Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport closely followed the overall strategy of "active internal network, smooth external connections, and international connectivity" of the Gansu Provincial Civil Aviation Airport Group. Through a three-dimensional approach of "internal connecting flights, increased regional frequency, and new international routes," its regional radiation capacity was significantly enhanced. More than ten inter-provincial feeder routes, including Zunyi, Nanchong, Quzhou, and Shiyan, were opened or resumed, continuously improving the through flight network. Flight frequency to major domestic cities was increased, with 7 "express routes" and 20 "quasi-express routes," continuously optimizing the route network layout. The airport continued to build "the best air corridor in and out of Xinjiang nationwide," opening, increasing frequency, and resuming multiple intra-Xinjiang routes, connecting 15 cities within Xinjiang, with more than 31 flights arriving in Xinjiang daily. To date, it has served 38 airlines, operated 187 passenger routes, served 111 cities at home and abroad, and had a maximum capacity of 46 aircraft stationed at the airport.
