Russia allocates 108 billion rubles to increase domestic aircraft production

 

According to the Russian Satellite News Agency, Anna Panina, Director of the Aviation Industry Department of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, said that nearly 108 billion rubles will be allocated to comprehensively support aircraft manufacturing and the aviation industry from 2024 to 2026.

Panina pointed out at the Federal Council hearing that the Ministry of Industry and Trade has prepared proposals for the federal budget draft on the funding of the "National Plan for the Development of the Aviation Industry".

She emphasized: "The plan was approved as early as 2014. We adjust its indicators every year and clarify its structure. The implementation period of the national plan has been extended to 2030. Its goal is to meet the needs of domestic airlines through domestic aircraft production . Our mission is that by 2030, the proportion of domestically produced aircraft and helicopters in the fleets of the largest airlines will be no less than 50% and 90% respectively."

She added that 107.9 billion rubles have been allocated for "implementation of relevant measures for 2024-2026." The national program includes four key federal programs that support aircraft, helicopter and engine manufacturing and provide comprehensive support to the aviation industry.

Panina also pointed out that it plans to increase the production of domestically produced aircraft by 2026, including MS-21, Sukhoi Superjet-100 (SJ-100 aircraft), Tu-214 and LMS-901 "Baikal" small aircraft. She concluded by stating: “The focus is on import substitution of major components and components.”
