Russian-made MC-21 aircraft to be delivered in 2026

According to the Russian Satellite News Agency, the Russian State Technology Corporation (Rostec) said that the group still adheres to the plan to start delivering domestic SJ-100 and MC-21 aircraft to Russian airlines in 2026.
The media previously reported that Russia may cut the budget allocation for the national aviation development plan in 2025. Rostec commented on this, saying: "Our plan remains unchanged: new aircraft are being tested and prepared for mass production so that SJ-100 and MC-21 aircraft can be delivered to airlines starting next year."
In January this year, Chemezov, president of Rostec, said that the MC-21 aircraft is scheduled to start mass production in 2026. From 2029, the production of MC-21 aircraft will reach 72 per year.
