According to Thai headlines and Thai media reports, on September 9, Thailand’s Minister of Tourism and Sports Suthawan said in an interview with the media in Nakhon Ratchasima Province that promoting the development of tourism is crucial to Thailand’s economy. Suthawan said that after discussions with various relevant departments, it was decided that the visa-free policy for Chinese tourists entering Thailand will last for three months. Cooperation among various departments will be strengthened to implement the policy as soon as possible. In addition, relevant departments of the tourism industry will also take measures to strive to enhance tourists' confidence in traveling, especially in terms of convenience and safety. Because some Chinese tourists know about Thailand by watching movies, videos, etc., they are worried about safety issues during their travels. Therefore, relevant departments must strengthen safety management to ensure that tourists are provided with a safe, convenient and comfortable travel experience.

So far, the number of foreign tourists visiting Thailand has reached 18 million. The implementation of the visa-free policy may attract more Chinese tourists.
