Beijing Capital International Airport announced that the connecting corridor of the West Satellite Terminal will be officially opened at 00:00 on June 18.

Passengers boarding at gates A01-A16 in the West Satellite Terminal can proceed directly to the waiting area via the connecting corridor after completing check-in and security procedures at Terminal 2, following the signage. The corridor is equipped with moving walkways, saving time and providing convenience.

The West Satellite Terminal was converted from the original T1 terminal's restricted area. Previously, passengers at gates A01-A16 needed to take a shuttle bus to the West Satellite Terminal.
In 2025, Beijing Capital International Airport will launch a project to add airside connections between T1 and T2 terminals, converting the existing landside corridors of T1 and T2 into airside corridors.
