The "Implementation Opinions of the Civil Aviation Administration of China on Supporting the Coordinated Development of Civil Aviation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area" proposed that by 2025, the world-class airport cluster in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area will be basically completed.

According to the data released by the airport management units, the passenger throughput of the above airports in 2024 will be 76.369 million, 60 million (Shenzhen Airport data on December 23, 2024), 53.10 million, 12.971 million, 7.64 million, 2.876 million, and 1.3349 million respectively.
