The East China Sea Railway Company (JR Tokai) announced on the 13th that it will suspend operations on the "Nagoya-Shin-Osaka" section from the beginning of the 15th. JR West Japan said on the 14th that the Sanyo Shinkansen "Shin-Osaka-Okayama" section was also suspended for the whole day on the 15th.

 

Aviation is also affected. JAL revealed on the 13th that the cancellation of 240 flights, mainly taking off and landing at Osaka (Itami) Airport on the 15th, will affect about 24,800 people. On the 14th, 19 flights to Osaka (Itami) and other airports were cancelled.

According to JR Tokai, the Tokaido Shinkansen will implement a temporary timetable in the "Tokyo-Nagoya" section on the 15th, greatly reducing the number of shifts. It is said that the planned outage will not be implemented on the 14th and 16th, but there may be a longer delay or an emergency outage.
