Airports are now increasingly numerous, and routes are becoming more and more extensive. Over the past five years, my country's civil aviation industry has invested over 100 billion yuan annually in infrastructure. Construction of four world-class airport clusters, namely the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the Chengdu-Chongqing region, has begun to take shape. Domestic routes now reach 4,513, serving over 260 cities.

Xinjiang has established the largest network of branch airports in my country.

In addition to accelerating the construction of trunk airports, China has also continuously improved the quality and efficiency of branch airport construction during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Xinjiang, for example, now boasts the largest airport network in the country, covering the largest area and boasting the largest number of branch airports.

At an altitude of 3,258 meters, rising from the frozen ground, Tashkurgan Khunjerab Airport rises. This is my country's westernmost civil transport airport, Xinjiang's highest altitude airport, and boasts the longest runway. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Tashkurgan Khunjerab Airport commenced operations, providing an efficient air bridge for local residents.

This year, Urumqi Tianshan Airport completed its fourth renovation and expansion, adding new international cargo routes from Urumqi to Paris, Madrid, and Addis Ababa. During the summer travel season, passenger throughput exceeded 12 million, with monthly passenger throughput exceeding 6 million for the first time. Cargo and mail throughput surged 27.5% year-on-year.

Over the past five years, the density of transport airports in Xinjiang has increased from 1.3 per 100,000 square kilometers at the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan to 1.7, handling over 170 million passengers. Xinjiang now boasts the most extensive airport network in China, boasting the largest number of branch airports, totaling 28. The number of civil airports within a provincial-level administrative unit ranks first nationwide.
