Civil Aviation Resource Network October 22, 2022 News: Aerolineas Argentinas flight to Buenos Aires encountered severe turbulence, causing violent turbulence in the cabin. Several passengers were too late to buckle their seat belts, and the whole person bounced against the ceiling. The scene screamed again and again, and the plate fell to the ground. At least 12 people were injured in the accident, including one with a broken nose.
The accident happened on Tuesday (18th) on an Aerolineas Argentinas flight AR1133 from Madrid, Spain to Buenos Aires, with 271 passengers and 13 crew on board.
The entire flight journey took about 12 hours, but it is understood that after the passenger plane flew for about seven hours, it suddenly encountered a bad air flow above 11,500 meters off the coast of Brazil. The whole plane suffered severe turbulence and the scene fell into chaos. Many passengers woke up from their slumbers, suddenly overwhelmed with fright, and food and drinks in their carts fell to the ground.
When the air flow hit, the passenger plane plummeted, and some passengers who didn't have time to buckle their seat belts hit the ceiling.
Aerolineas Argentinas later confirmed the accident, saying that at least 12 people were injured in the accident, three of whom had to be sent to hospital. Emirates also said the cabin ceiling was also damaged in the turbulence, but argued that passengers were warned about the draughts and asked to wear seat belts, but "most of the affected passengers didn't do that."
